LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah on Friday sought replies from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Ministry of Sports on a petition challenging 39 appointments in the board allegedly made in violation of rules.
A citizen filed the petition and pleaded through his counsel that the appointments of chief operating ******r, manager international audit, director securities and others were made on the basis of nepotism as the posts were never advertised.
The counsel argued that the PCB authorities ig**red rules and merits in the appointments process. He prayed to the court to set aside all the impugned appointments and order the PCB to fill the vacancies strictly in accordance with the law. The court heard the initial arguments and sought replies from the respondents by May 26.
