ISLAMABAD: Justice Qazi Faiz Essa has remarked if government can**t resolve matters in the National Assembly then it should be locked.
He further remarked why finance minister has **t brought kissan package in the parliament. It is said in the budget speech that every Pakistani should have all the facilities of life. These are only desires. Desires can**t be called finance act. The procedure and **t the political parties are stakeholders in the Constitution.
This money does **t come out of pocket of the government but it comes from taxes collected from people. Parliament has been appointed as custodian of their money by the people.
This is called democracy and Constitution reflects this democracy. A three-member bench of Supreme Court led by Justice Ejaz Afzal took up Kissan package case for hearing Wednesday. At the inception of hearing, the court inquired from prosecutor is the subsidy given on fertilizers is in consonance with Article 84 of the Constitution.
If NA does **t approve supplementary grant of subsidy then what will happen. The prosecutor Sajid Ilyas assured the court supplementary grant of subsidy would be got approved from the National Assembly. The court while issuing **tice to attorney general for provision of assistance by him adjourned the hearing of the case until May 24.
