ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday an**unced the name of Arbab Muhammad Wasim Khan as the returned candidate to Provincial Assembly from constituency PK VIII Peshawar Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The election commission has published the name of Arbab Muhammad Wasim Khan as member of the Provincial Assembly, said a press release issued by the ECP.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz candidate Arbab Muhammad Waseem Khan defeated Tamash Khan of Pakistan Peoples Party and candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Shehzad Khan in the bye elections held recently. According to the result Arbab Muhammad Waseem Khan bagged 11,781 votes. Candidates of Pakistan Peoples Party Tamash Khan and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Shehzad Khan obtained 10,789 and 9,347 votes respectively.
