On Tuesday, Uber launched a new feature called Trip Tracker, enabling users to track their family members' rides with the service.*

The Trip Tracker is part of a**ther Uber feature called Family Profiles, (http://mashable.com/2016/03/16/uber-family-profiles/) which lets you add other riders to a joint family profile, with rides billed to the profile organizer. The people in your profile don't necessarily have to be a part of your family, but they do have to accept your invitation to the profile.*
The idea behind the feature is to track your family members in real time. Once someone in your Family Profile requests a ride, you'll be **tified with the option to track the ride.
