Ready to face probe along with PM under opposition ToRs

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, on Friday wondered how their democratic movement posed a threat to development and progress in Pakistan. He asserted that their sit-in in Islamabad was in ** way a hurdle to development. He offered Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to include him in the Panama Leaks inquiry, along with himself, under the terms of reference (ToRs) of the opposition.

Imran Khan asked the prime minister to answer a simple question: How did he pile up so much wealth and transferred it abroad?Talking to media persons here, Imran presented himself for accountability along with Nawaz Sharif on the PM’s family’s offshore firms on the basis of the opposition parties’ ToRs. “Mian Sahib, your name is mentioned in the Panama Papers. If you want mine and your accountability should be conducted first, then I am prepared for it,” he said.

Referring to the prime minister’s public meeting in Sukkur and launching a development project there, Imran contended that this was an attempt to bribe the opposition parties and to blackmail them. “The prime minister can’t stop the movement for investigation into his and his family’s stop the movement for investigation into his and his family’s offshore companies by organising public meetings and rallies across Pakistan,” he asserted.

He maintained that if the prime minister of Pakistan would **t pay taxes then **ne would pay taxes. He alleged the prime minister had **t mentioned his London flats in his statement of assets, filed in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Imran cautioned that the ‘merchants of conscience’ would try to bribe, buy and blackmail the opposition parties. He wanted to k**w who was behind the terrorists in Punjab and who supported them.

About the PML-N leaders warnings to the PTI **t to mount a march on Raiwind, Imran quipped Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was neither Hosni Mubarak **r Saddam Hussain, asserting, **ne could stop them from going to Raiwind, if ToRs **t framed, as the opposition wanted and probe **t held under the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Regarding the JUI-F support to Nawaz Sharif in the given crisis, stemming from Panama Leaks, Imran wondered how Maulana Fazlur Rehman had joined the save corruption movement.

He said that the incidents of eve-teasing at the PTI’s public meeting in Islamabad and Lahore were being investigated and a report was expected in a day for action against those involved. The PTI chairman **ted his party’s government was reforming the education and health sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
