A new report claims that the painkiller Percocet was in Prince's system at the time of the iconic musician's April 21 death.
But a source tells*The Minneapolis Star Tribune (http://www.startribune.com/federal-agents-to-join-prince-death-investigation/378168981/#1)*that it's unclear whether the painkiller caused Prince's death at the age of 57.
On Wednesday, the Star Tribunereported (http://www.startribune.com/addiction-doctor-was-to-have-seen-prince-just-before-his-death/378051471/)that Prince had arranged to meet with an addiction doctor "in an attempt to kick an addiction to painkillers." That same day, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Attorney's ****** an**unced that they were joiningthe *Carver County Sheriff's ****** in the investigation.*
