http://www.medgadget.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Rhythmia.jpgBoston Scientific won FDA approval to introduce its IntellaNav XP and IntellaNav MiFi XP cardiac ablation catheters with navigation capabilities. The devices are meant for use with the company’s Rhythmia Mapping System for treatment of Type I atrial flutter. They are magnetically tracked for real-time guidance on*their location and electrophysiology*is used to map out the heart.
Both of the devices are similar, with the IntellaTip MiFi XP also featuring mini-electrode tech**logy that provides higher precision during ablation.
The company is also updating the software on the Rhythmia Mapping System with the new version offering better images even faster than before, as well as editing options to help analyze the cardiac maps produced.
