Compare the remastered 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare' to the original

We learned on Monday — as rumors (http://mashable.com/2016/04/27/call-of-duty-infinite-warfare-leak/) had already suggested — that Activision is releasing a remastered Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare*alongside Infinite Warfare (http://mashable.com/2016/05/02/call-of-duty-infinite-warfare-reveal-trailer/)*in **vember. And from the little we got to see, developer Raven Software's work on updating the 2007 game is a significant step forward, visually.
A handful of clips that compared locations from the original game to their remastered counterparts were shown off during Activision's reveal stream. We've captured them in a set of GIFs below.

As you can see, this is more than just a new paint job on an old game. There's more intricate detail in the textures, giving all surfaces less of a uniform look.
