Shopkeepers accused of violating price regulations

NANKANA SAHIB: Shopkeepers are accused of violating government fixed price regulations especially in terms of sale of ghee in the city and its outskirts.

Reportedly, the district administration is ig**ring the issue whereas the government of Punjab had fixed rates of ghee of different brands ranging from Rs145 to Rs153 per kilogram.

According to locals, shopkeepers overcharge them when they buy ghee and also misbehave when anybody try to raise the ghee’s exorbitant price.

They demanded high-ups to look into the matter.

FINED: Secretary District Transport Authority Attia Qamar Wednesday fined several transport owners for alleged overcharging on different routes including Nankana, Morkhunda and Mangtanwala. She imposed Rs 20,000 fine on transport owners.
