Director Oliver Stone's S**wden turns one of the most gripping real-life political thrillers in recent memory into an awards season-ready blockbuster. This debut trailer delivers a sense of the drama and tension as S**wden goes from soldier to Public Enemy **. 1 after leaking classified information.
Stone's take — which he co-wrote with Kieran Fitzgerald — looks like it'll offer a broad view of S**wden's life, from serving his country in the Army Reserve to — as some would frame things, at least — betraying it.
S**wden*arrives in theaters on Sept. 16.
