Back in 2012, BBC Two presented the first installment of The Hollow Crown*— a splashy adaptation of Shakespeare's second ****** of history-based plays. **w the network is following that up with a**ther cycle of TV ****** based on Shakespeare's first ****** of histories: The War of the Roses, which covers everything from Henry VI*to Richard III.

The latter character will be played by Benedict Cumberbatch — seen in action for the first time in this new trailer. The clip shows Richard*plotting and conniving, giving us a glimpse of his bloodthirsty battle for power.*
