The highest paying jobs in America are almost entirely at consulting or tech companies, according to Glassdoor's annual list of the 25 highest paying companies in America (https://www.glassdoor.com/blog/25-highest-paying-companies-america-2016/), released on Wednesday.

Consulting firm A.T. Kearney (https://www.atkearney.com/)*topped the list*with a median total compensation of $167,534 and a media base salary of $143,620. Silicon Valley giants Google and Facebook also earned spots on the list.
By comparison, the typical American family earned $53,657 in 2014, according to the Census Bureau (http://money.cnn.com/2015/09/16/news/eco**my/census-poverty-income/). Read more... (http://mashable.com/2016/04/20/glassdoor-highest-paying-companies/)
