Australian online beauty retailer Adore Beauty is taking on China and its more than one billion consumers.
Founded in 2000, Adore Beauty is the work of Kate Morris, who just happened to guess that people would love to shop for skincare online in*"the very, very early dot com days." Adore began*as a garage business, she told Mashable Australia,*getting started thanks to a A$12,000 loan from her boyfriend's dad.

It **w has a team of 35 people, and accepted its first funding round in 2015 after more than a decade of bootstrapping.
