Facebook and Microsoft may have ** gender pay gap, but Silicon Valley has work to do

But that doesn't mean the tech industry overall is suddenly paying men and women equally across the board.*
Hired, an online jobs marketplace, released a new study on Tuesday, coinciding with Equal Pay Day, which offers a stark reminder of the differences in salaries offered to men and women in the industry.*

The results show that 69% of the time, women were offered less money than men for the same role.
