St. Jude’s New Trifecta GT Aortic Surgical Valve With New Deployment Tech**logy
http://www.medgadget.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Trifecta-Surgical-Valve-Glide-Tech**logy.jpg St. Jude Medical is releasing in Europe its new aortic Trifecta surgical valve with Glide Tech**logy for patients with aortic regurgitation or some forms of heart failure. *The Trifecta GT*is essentially a version of the original Trifecta that features a delivery system to help deploy the valve in challenging cases. It retains its original hemodynamic components and, once positioned using a new*parachuting mechanics, works as the original Trifecta.
From St. Jude:
Engineered to reduce wear and deterioration over time, the Trifecta GT valve stent is covered with tissue to allow improved tissue-to-tissue contact when the leaflets open and close. Additionally, the valve is treated with St. Jude Medical’sLinx™ AC Treatment, an anticalcification treatment designed to reduce tissue mineralization (hardening). The valve’s fatigue-resistant titanium stent provides a supportive frame within a patient’s heart for added durability.
