The EU Commission an**unced plans on Wednesday to restructure the European Union's migration policies and fundamentally change the bloc's asylum process.
The proposed plan is an attempt to relieve pressure on nations like Italy and Greece that have been on the frontline of the continent's refugee crisis, processing tens of thousands of new arrivals each week.
The EU Commission wants to amend the current policy where asylum seekers must be processed in the first nation where they arrive.*
