Microsoft's latest HoloLens demo transports us back to the '80s

On Wednesday, Microsoft hailed the official launch (http://mashable.com/2016/02/29/microsoft-hololens-ship-date/) of its HoloLens augmented reality device to developers at its Build 2016 conference
But unlike the past HoloLens demos (http://mashable.com/2015/04/29/microsoft-demos-how-*******-10-apps-work-with-hololens-and-its-stunningly-beautiful/), which were impressive e**ugh to draw applause audience members, today's demo was less awe-inspiring and more like a slice of bad '80s special effects
