MealPass (https://mealpass.com/) is trying. The meal planning startup, which will launch in New York City on Wednesday, according to Eater (http://ny.eater.com/2016/3/29/11322284/mealpass-nyc-launch), allows users to pre-order lunches and pick them up in a jiffy, for $99 per month.
Cofounded by Mary Biggins, who first launched popular fitness class booking service ClassPass (https://classpass.com/start), MealPass partners with select restaurants using the same model. After subscribing for the month, users can view menus each evening via the web (** mobile app), place their lunch order by 9:30 a.m. the following morning and pick up their meal midday.
