Four children among those killed in flydubai crash in Russia

All 62 people on board were killed. The flight had taken off from Dubai International Airport. The nationalities of the crew members have **t been formally released, however a report on Russia-based website LifeNews says they came from Cyprus (captain), Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Spain and the Seychelles. According to Dubai Media ******, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Department and Chairman of Emirates Group, is at the flydubai operations room. In tweets this morning, the ****** quoted Sheikh Ahmed as saying: “We have taken all necessary measures in accordance with the crisis response mechanism. “We will ensure that the families of the victims are provided with all forms of support.” Vasily Golubev, the gover**r of the Rostov region some 950km south of Moscow, was quoted by Russian news agencies as telling local journalists that the plane crashed about 250m short of the runway. The cause of the crash was **t immediately determined, but Golubev said: “By all appearances, the cause of the air crash was the strongly gusting wind, approaching a hurricane level.” [email protected]
