Telstra apologizes after Australia's long night without Internet

It was a long, lonely night for some Telstra customers across Australia Thursday night.
The largest telecommunications service went down on Thursday evening at 6 p.m. local time. At least 8 million customers and 50% of calls were affected by the downtime that reached into Friday morning.*

The outage caused huge issues for customers across the country, with Internet, phone calls and data affected.
