Van Gogh's story has been told many times — but a new movie promises to give it new voice.
An upcoming film, described as the world's "first feature-length painted animation," will tell the story of Van Gogh, using over 120 of his own paintings (http://hyperallergic.com/279272/bringing-van-goghs-life-to-the-big-screen-at-12-oil-paintings-per-second/). Called 'Loving Vincent,' the film, which does **t yet have a release date, will be produced by Oscar award-winners Breakthru films.*
Producers also brought in over 100 painters to create new paintings, designed in Van Gogh's very own style. These paintings were then stitched together, so that every new 1 second scene includes 12 oil paintings.*
