Teen sues California high school, wins over right to wear 'lesbian' t-shirt

Taylor Victor, 16-year-old from Manteca, California, remembers the day she was sent home from school for wearing a t-shirt that said "**body k**ws I'm a lesbian."
Victor, who is openly gay, wore the black and white tee last August as a joke, but administrators at Sierra High School didn't find it amusing. Victor told Mashable that they said the shirt was promoting ***ual activity, degrades religious values and was disruptive.

Sitting in the Vice Principal's ******, she was given two options: put on a different shirt and never wear hers to school again, or go home. Victor chose the latter option, but decided to also call the American Civil Liberties Union (https://www.aclunc.org/news/california-school-district-changes-dress-code-after-aclu-sues-censorship) to report the alleged mistreatment she received.
