Slum developers ordered to open Axis accounts; CM denies favour to bank

Eyebrows are being raised over a Slum Redevelopment Authority order to all 1,200-odd slum developers to open a special account at Axis Bank?s Worli branch. The SRA, headed by CM Devendra Fadnavis, warned that if the account was **t opened before the stipulated date, a fine of 1 lakh per day will be imposed till February 28, and 5 lakh per day after March 1.
