White House prods Senate Republicans to act on court vacancy
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Wednesday tried to ratchet up pressure on the Republican-led Senate to allow a vote on President Barack Obama's choice to fill the Supreme Court vacancy left by the death of conservative Justice Antonin Scalia.
