Joystick Fascial Closure Device Helps Wrap Up Laparoscopic Surgeries

The typical closure of fascia at laparoscopic port site through a small skin incision can be tricky and frustrating. Artisan Medical, a firm based in Medford, New Jersey, is introducing its Joystick fascia closure device intended for wrapping up laparoscopic surgeries by securely capturing and suturing the fascia.
Once positioned, the device can be angled arbitrarily to achieve a wanted angle to run the sutures instead of relying on standard angles.
The company believes that with the Joystick, surgeons will be faster and more consistent in performing fascial closures, leading to better results and more OR efficiency.
