Five Sewri TB staffers got drug resistant TB this year

As many as eight healthcare workers from the Sewri TB Hospital have contracted the deadly tuberculosis infection so far this year, despite BMC?s claims of best protective gear being made available to them. Five out of the eight have the drug resistant form of the disease, which is a lot tougher to treat and has a higher mortality rate.
