Yahoo says IRS denies ruling on tax-free Alibaba spi**ff
(Reuters) - Yahoo Inc said the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) had denied the company's request for a private letter ruling on whether the spi**ff of its stake in Alibaba Group Holdings Ltd would be considered tax free.
