UN chief to host quartet meeting on Israeli-Palestinian conflict

United Nations, Sep 5 (IANS) UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will host a quartet meeting aiming to end the decades-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict on September 30 during the upcoming 70th General Assembly, a spokesperson said. The foreign minister of the Russian Federation, the secretary of state of the United States, and the high representative of the European Union for foreign affairs and security policy have been invited for the meeting," Xinhua news agency quoted the spokesperson as saying.
