Govt to declare drought by mid-Sept: CM

The state government will declare a drought-like condition in 8,000 to 14,000 villages in the state by mid-September, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Saturday. The affected areas include parts of Marathwada, Solapur, Ahmednagar as well as a few villages in western and **rth Maharashtra, the CM said after returning from a tour of the affected areas.
