St. Jude Medical’s Invisible Trial System Uses iPads, iPods to Control Pain Relieving Neurostimulator

St. Jude Medical landed FDA approval to introduce its Invisible Trial System, a tool for evaluating the benefits that a spinal cord stimulator can provide before actually implanting one. *Typically, similar systems came with ugly and difficult to use controllers, ruining the experience for many potential users of the tech**logy. The Invisible Trial System instead uses an Apple iPod touch and an iPad mini*as the control system, improving how both patients and physicians program and control the temporary stimulator.
