Court nixes bid to end Israel's iron grip on W.Bank planning

The ruling, handed down Tuesday, was in response to a petition filed by the West Bank village of Ad-Deirat, the Israeli NGO Rabbis for Human Rights and a**ther three organisations. The case relates to Israel's iron grip on all planning matters in what is k**wn as "Area C" -- which covers more than 60 percent of the occupied West Bank -- where it is all-but-impossible for Palestinians to obtain building permits.
