Accuro Handheld Ultrasound Needle Guidance System Cleared by FDA

It’s essentially a compact ultrasound system that has both the probe, processing system, and the display within the same smartphone-sized package.
The device is used to create a 3D volumetric image from multiple scans taken in different planes. Anatomical points of interest are recognized and show up within the lower part of the screen. It doesn’t require a so**grapher to operate and only needs one hand to control.

The company is hoping their tech**logy will be used in the future in other applications, such as for thyroid biopsies, peripheral nerves, and help with vascular access.
