Revolutionary J-Plasma Tool Allows Surgeons To Do More by Reducing Damage to Surrounding Tissue
http://cdn.medgadget.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/j-plasma.pngThe revolutionary new J-Plasma surgical tool is being used at hospitals around the country for a variety of gynecological procedures.

The tool allows surgeons to operate more freely in delicate areas of the body.

J-Plasma, created by Bovie Medical, works at far lower temperatures than traditional CO2 lasers, resulting in less damage to surrounding tissue. Surgeons treating women with endometriosis, for example, can **w remove diseased tissue on the fallopian tubes without fear of damaging these delicate structures. This can improve the likelihood of more effective treatment, potentially reducing the need for repeat procedures.

J-Plasma works by passing helium, an inert gas, over a uniquely designed energized blade and ionizing the gas into a cool stream of plasma. This plasma stream can cut, coagulate and ablate (vaporize) tissue at much cooler temperatures than traditional CO2 lasers.
