38 hit with fines, prison for smuggling illegal expats

The Directorate General of Passports (Jawazat) has jailed and fined 37 Saudis and a Yemeni for smuggling illegal expatriates into the Kingdom, Al-Hayat reported. A source from the directorate said the fines were SR4.745 million in total, while each smuggler was imprisoned for up to two years. He said: ?The directorate published all the smugglers? names in the newspapers. The directorate treats all outlaws the same,? the source said.
