BIOTRONIK’s Closed Loop Stimulation for Smart Heart Pacing **w Available in U.S.

BIOTRONIK has just an**unced that its Closed Loop Stimulation (CLS) physiologic sensor is **w available on the Itrevia cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) in the United States. The CLS sensor adjusts the patient heart rate in response to physical activity, even when there’s ** change in the respiratory rate or body movement.
Typically, CRT-Ds monitor patient movements using a built-in accelerometer, but that can be deceptive depending on the physical activity. The CLS tech**logy uses impedance sensing to compensate for changing mental stress, similar to how the body’s own healthy nervous system works coordinates with the heart.

The latest BIOTRONIK Itrevia ICD and CRT-D ******* includes other advanced atrial therapies: morphology discrimination, Vp Suppression®, atrial capture control, improved ATP optimization and LV pacing vectors. All devices include BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring®, the first remote monitoring system and the only system with automatic daily transmission, which has been shown to reduce all-cause mortality by over 50 percent3.
