Mother arrested over abused boy’s death

A woman has been arrested by Al-Salama Police in connection with the death of her son, who doctors say was systematically beaten before he died in hospital. Saleh Sarhan, director of Social Protection in Makkah, said the boy had marks and scars on different parts of his body from the sustained abuse. The woman?s other two children, an 11-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son, were taken to a social protection home because they have ** other relatives who could be contacted quickly and their father was dead.
