Proactive dialogue need of the hour, says Brahimi

Former Special Adviser to UN chief stresses on importance of communication with society and influential individuals to monitor changes. Lakhdar Brahimi, former Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations (2004-2005), has urged governments in the Arab region to find prompt solutions to the growing security crisis in the region. During the opening session of day two of the fourth International Government Communication Forum (IGFC 2015) held at Expo Centre, Sharjah, Brahimi outlined the crucial role regional governments can play in curbing the situation in Syria.
