The population had grown by 2.7 percent from 2012 to 2013, amounting to 29.2 million people. The CDSI said that the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) stood at SR2.82 trillion at the end of 2014, while per capita GDP was SR91,700. Al-Eqtisadiah had estimated that the Kingdom's population would reach 37.2 million by the year 2020 based on the average annual growth rate over the past nine years.
