There was a meeting of GIMP guys at the LGM 2013 and Michael Schumacher (https://plus.google.com/110300216597663852321/posts) took some **tes (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O8UUijIyVM5r5ivECzwakjUC37LseJ6Az_we-icIOKo/edit?hl=en&forcehl=1). I like especially the part about getting good k**wledge about GIMP out.

Pat David (http://blog.patdavid.net) published some time ago a method to average images with ImageMagik (http://blog.patdavid.net/2012/08/imagemagick-average-blending-files.html). I stole one of his new results to illustrate this posting. A bit creepy, but you should have a look at his Playboy centerfold collection (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-1aEQwo_g2P0/UBwXMKdd6dI/AAAAAAAACew/bkdW1Zp4XKE/s1600/1960-auto-level-rotate.png)!

Really dry, with a blue suit and tie – but gooood! IBM has a nice introduction to Scribus (http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/opensource/library/os-scribus/index.html?ca=drs), “the” Free and Open Source Desktop Publishing Program.

**t sure which Creative Commons License (http://creativecommons.org) to choose? Petapixel has a graphic guide (http://petapixel.com/2013/04/28/a-flowchart-for-figuring-out-which-creative-commons-license-you-should-use/).

Rosie Hardy (http://www.rosiehardy.com/1144-home) is a professional photographer and uses GIMP. Libre Graphics World shows some of her dreamy self portraits (http://libregraphicsworld.org/blog/entry/self-portraits-by-rosie-hardie). She sells tutorial DVDs (http://www.rosiehardy.com/online-tutorials), BTW…….

This exhibition (http://www.dpreview.com/news/2013/04/29/olympus-opens-om-d-photography-playground-in-berlin) in Berlin sounds interesting, It’s **t Nikon, but I’ll have a look.

And a new camera design (http://edition.cnn.com/2013/05/01/tech/in**vation/bug-eye-camera/index.html), stolen from the bugs. (Thanks, Bob!)
