The 24-year-old model spoke in the issue about gracing the cover of the magazine.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t even believe I\u2019m saying this. I am the 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit<\/em> cover model. I can\u2019t wait for everyone to see it. I\u2019m emotional, but I just want to say thank you to everyone who believed in me. I put in so much work for this and I\u2019m feeling very accomplished, happy and excited,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Danielle<\/strong> is the third African American model to grace the cover, including Tyra Banks<\/strong><\/a> (1997) and Beyonce<\/strong><\/a> (2005).<\/p>\n
