Speaking to the Mail<\/a> On Sunday he has revealed how he has put the past behind him and has a new sober life with a baby daughter by his stunning Brazilian girlfriend<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old claims that his family helped him get through his darkest times.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy family never gave up on me, not for one second,\u2019 he says in his first interview since leaving jail after serving seven years for drugs offences,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n

\u201cCatherine is a scrapper, she\u2019s someone who came from Wales and clawed her way up to the very top through sheer talent and determination.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe never gives up on anything and she didn\u2019t quit on me. The love of my family got me through my darkest days.\u201d<\/p>\n

Born into the \u2018Douglas Dynasty\u2019 Cameron failed to live up to the expectations after suffering constant drug arrests and trips to rehab.<\/p>\n

He hit rock bottom in 2010 when he was sentenced to five years in jail for dealing in crystal meth and possessing heroin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, his sentence was almost doubled in 2011 when he was found trying to sell prescription-only drugs to other inmates.<\/p>\n

Yet today he has turned a corner as he has returned to health and happiness as he turned to working-out to cleanse his body and mind.<\/p>\n

His personal life is a lot happier too \u2013 the former DJ has found love with his Brazilian girlfriend Vivianne Thibes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know how lucky I am to be sitting here talking to you,\u201d he reveals<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen that cell door slammed shut on the first night of my incarceration, I felt like I was in a bad dream, that I would wake up. But the dream carried on and got worse.<\/p>\n
