Ratna Devi, a resident of Patra, upset because he did not get the money back, committed suicide by using a poisonous substance. On the orders of the court, the Pipraich police on Sunday filed a case against seven people under various sections, including attempted suicide. The police also started investigating the matter. Manohar Singh of Patra filed an application in the court in which he told that his mother Ratna Devi is a member of a group in the village. He gave six lakh rupees withdrawn from the group to Nirmala Maurya, while he got three lakh rupees from Saudi Arabia from his son Manovir Singh and gave it to the concerned people. When the money was not received on time, her mother Nirmala repeatedly asked her to return the money, but the accused kept avoiding her. The mother also complained to the police station about not receiving the money, but no hearing was taken by the police. Due to mental pressure and despair, his mother committed suicide on August 29, 2024. He filed a complaint at the police station regarding this incident, but when no action was taken, he filed an application in court. Superintendent of Police Atul Srivastava said on the orders of the court, a case was registered against Patra residents Nirmala Maurya, Govind Maurya, Sunny Maurya, Murali Maurya, Chamman Maurya, Bhagwan Prajapati and Pawan Yadav.
