This proposal was presented yesterday in the Board of Directors&#8217; (BOD) meeting. The corporation management refused to give time to the company to deliver the buses and asked it to deliver 100 buses in January as per the terms of the tender. After that, other buses should be sent in the second phase. HRTC Vice President Ajay Verma said that the company has been asked to start delivering buses on time. The corporation has a fleet of 3158 buses. HRTC has an approved fleet of 3158 buses. Of these, 2945 buses are currently available. There are 171 buses that are 15 years old. The corporation has started the process of removing these buses. Buses have been removed from some other places, including Solan and Sirmaur districts, while the process is going on at other places. There are many buses that are 10 to 12 years old, but their condition is very bad. Dead mileage comes from this. Therefore, the corporation wants to replace these buses soon. This will only be possible when new buses arrive. Rs 424 crore is being spent on e-buses. The corporation is spending Rs 424 crore on e-buses. The corporation is going to buy buses with the financial help of NABARD. Before the arrival of buses, basic facilities are prepared in the bus stands, which include charging stations etc. HRTC to buy 297 e-buses. The cost of one bus is Rs 1.71 crore. The company will also take care of the maintenance of the buses for 12 years.
