There was a stir when a scope used on a sniper rifle was found near the NIA office in the security-sensitive Siddha area. Preliminary investigation revealed that this telescope is manufactured in China. Waterproof, fogproof and shockproof were found written on the telescope. According to security agencies, this type of scope is used in rifles for precise aiming from long distances. CRPF personnel deployed for security around the NIA office noticed a telescope in the hand of a child on Sunday afternoon. Seeing the equipment on the sniper rifle, the soldiers became suspicious and stopped the child and questioned him. The child told that he found it in a nearby drain and took it with him as it was a toy. CRPF informed the senior officers. Nagrota Parvez Sajad, in-charge of Nagrota police station, reached the spot. The Special Operation Group (SOG) team of Jammu Police was also called. Security agencies cordoned off the area and searched the drain and surrounding area. Police officials say it is being determined whether there is any conspiracy behind this. The child is questioned.
