Jakarta – A bus crashed at the Krapyak Toll Road exit interchange, Semarang, Central Java, killing 15 people. The bus turned out to belong to PO Cahaya Trans which departed from Jatiasih, Bekasi. As reported by Antara, Monday (22\/12\/2025), the PO Cahaya Trans bus carrying 34 passengers overturned at the interchange at Krapyak toll exit, Semarang City early this morning. As a result, the bus hit a road divider and ended up rolling over. “We and the joint SAR team of the National Police, Jasa Marga, PMI and others managed to evacuate all the victims from the bus that had an accident. There were 15 passengers who died and 19 others were injured,” said the head of the Semarang SAR office, Budiono. He explained that the evacuation process itself was quite difficult because some of the victims were still in a trapped position and access to the victims was also filled with broken glass. The team had to get into the overturned bus, reach and open the victim, and evacuate him from the bus with extra care.
