This is the highest number of examination centers built so far. Three more examination centers were created than last year. The number of candidates is decreasing every year. In the last three years there has been a reduction of 3287 candidates in the high school and intermediate examinations. The council emphasizes on increasing the examination centres, no steps are taken to increase the number of candidates. Preparations for the board exams of the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh have intensified. The list of examination centers for high school and intermediate examinations has been released after revision. Maximum 99 exam centers have been created in this list so far. However, the final list of 76 exam centers has been released. After the objections were resolved, the number was increased to 99 by including 23 examination centres. Their number in the year 2025 examination was 96. This time three more examination centers were increased. Teachers say that due to political pressure there has been an increase in the number of examination centres. More unfunded schools are included in the increased examination centres. The board exams for the year 2026 will start from February 18. The number of candidates decreases every year in the UP board exam. Even after this, examination centers are being enlarged. Teachers tell that the number of candidates in the year 2024 is 48643, in the year 2025 it is 45911 and in the year 2026 it is 44360. Thus the number of candidates is decreasing every year. This decreased to 3287 in three years. Teachers say the biggest reason for this is that no one can register from two places now because of online registration and release of PAN number for the exam. This also affects the number of candidates.
