A major incident of theft has come to light in the Kirti Nagar police station area in the West Delhi district of the capital. In view of a locked house, the miscreants made away with gold and silver jewelery and cash worth around Rs 10 lakh. The police registered a case on the complaint of the victim and started searching for the accused. According to the police, this incident of theft took place in house number 3\/99 (ground floor) of Ramesh Nagar area. Owner Pooja Chhabra told that on December 14 she went to her mother’s house with her family. When she returned on the morning of December 18, she found the doorknob of the house broken. When they entered the house, all the belongings were scattered and the valuable jewels and cash kept in the cupboard were missing. According to police officials, after preliminary investigation and analysis of CCTV footage, it was revealed that the miscreants used a stolen motorcycle to commit the crime. Investigation revealed that the bike used in the crime was stolen from the Rajouri garden area.
