The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to take necessary action on allegations of operating an illegal tubewell in Nai Basti area in Daryaganj. Kishan Lal submitted the application and said that this tubewell remains operational 24 hours and thousands of liters of ground water is extracted and used for commercial supply. The applicant also said that despite complaints, no action was taken by the administration.
