It seems that the latest effort by Fierstein is possible to his best as the revival of him Torch Song Trilogy<\/i>rename simply Torch song<\/i>was nominated for a Tony award for the best revival of a play. According to the new judgment of the Tony Award Committee, Fierstein itself is eligible in the category with the main producer Richie jackson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Richie was brought to the show when he was 17 by his mother,” Fierstein tells Playbill in the video above. “Part of the reason was the scene between the mother and Arnold. ‘<\/p>\n

The play has changed the life of the producer, and now he hopes that it has changed a few more. “The theater changes knowledge in understanding,” says Jackson.<\/p>\n

The revival was opened in the Helen Hayes Theater, where the original Broadway Run (who plays Fierstein) opened in 1982. Directed by Mois\u00e9s Kaufman, this production Michael Urie as Arnold Beckoff, Ward Horton as Ed, Michael Hsu Rosen, as Alan, Roxanna Hope Radja as Laurel, Mercedes Ruehl as Mrs. Beckoff, and<\/p>\n
