The Office<\/strong><\/em> spinoff The Paper<\/em> Made Its Premiere on Peacock Earlier This Month, but One Actor Has Revealed that there was almost a Different Office <\/em>Spinoff Years ago Starring a Beloved TV Character. Beloved Mockumery TV Show The Office<\/em> First Premiered on March 24, 2005, on NBC and Lasted 9 Seasons before the Series Came to a Close in 2013.<\/p>\n

The Office<\/em>which was based on a British Show of the Same Name, Stars Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Bj Novak, Angela Kinsey, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Ed Heling, and Many More. Wilson portrayed fan-favorite character dwight schrute, A Daft and Sometimes Sinister Employee at Dunder Mifflin. For his roles, wilson was nominated for an emmy three Times.<\/p>\n

While a guest on the podcast The Last Laugh<\/a><\/em>Wilson Revealed that a spinoff of The Office<\/em> <\/em>Starring Dwight Titled The Farm<\/em> Was Once in Development at nbc, but the network ultimately tourned the series down. Wilson Revealed that nbc Never thought The Office <\/em>Was anything special, and didn\u2019t realie its potential UNIL IT STARTED MAKING MONEY. Check Out Wilson\u2019s Comments Below:<\/p>\n

They were just swimming at all in office spinoffs at the time. And had the right of the farm, they\u2019d probably have another billion dollars in the bank. No One Talks About that.<\/p>\n

End now, all the People that have seen the office 20 times, they\u2019re going to watch the farm at least once or twice, if you\u2019ve got 100 episodes. Wold it have ben as good as the office? No. No Way. Swimming close. Wold it have been good? Waled it have been solid? Waled it have been a good, solid comedy? Yeah, it beuld\u2019ve, and we would\u2019ve done some really cool stuff. And I think they really missed out.<\/p>\n

The history of the office on nbc \u2013 they never really got the show. Honestly, it was like five years after the show was over, will all of the a sudden it starts watched \u2013 the minutes in the billions on netflix \u2013 that nbc was like legs. \u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

neither The Office<\/em> Goes on, Dwight Begins to Run Many Businesses, Including A Bed-And-Breakfast. The Farm<\/em> Waled have followed dwight, inheritting a beet farm from his late aunt. Having dwight Owning A Business and Running Amok was idea Mary Audience Could Likely Get Behind Time, but nbc was not interesting when the pilot came Around.<\/p>\n

The Paper <\/em>Premiered on September 4, 2025, and has already been renewed for a second season.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

During the test Screening of the Unmade Show\u2019s Backdoor Pilot, Audience Members Were not impressed, causing nbc to not live forward with the show. The Series Waled Have Been A Mockumetry and Wold Have Captured the Style of The Office<\/em>. This Wold Have Likely Helped Fill the Hole Fans Felt AFTER The Office<\/em> Ended, which is what the spinoff The Paper<\/em> is ultimately doing now.<\/p>\n

Dwight is arguably the funniest character in The Office<\/em>. He can be endearing, but offensives terrifying as well, creating an extrmely dynamic and endlessly watchable character. A Show All About Him Would Probably Be Very Unhainged, Yet Relementlessly Entertaining, Because Dwight is SO UNDREDICTOBLE.<\/p>\n

Fans of The Office<\/em><\/strong> Sadly did not get to see a full dwight show, which probably have been very popular and made the network a ton of Money. It Also Wold Have Postapully Catapulled Wilson\u2019s Career Further and Maybe Wouuld Have Earned More Award Nominations, Possibly Eve a Win. Howver, at Least fans Get The Paper<\/em>which is Also A Hilarious Show.<\/p>\n
